Donna
Kreutz-President
Donna hails from Pittsburgh, PA and in 1990 landed in SCV with her husband, Bill, by way of Rochester , NY ; Dallas , Texas and Denver , Colorado . Donna spent most of her career in sales and marketing for some of the country’s biggest names in the high tech industry and has been involved with numerous charitable organizations throughout her adult life. As a “Big Sister”, Donna is proud of the fact that she and Sandi have been together since 1980 and that she and her husband are godparents to Sandi’s 13 year old daughter, Akilah. Donna has been a member of SI of Santa Clarita Valley since July 2007 and served as the Club’s Publicity Chair helping the Club to win the Camino Real Region Publicity Award for 2006-2008. Donna has served as the Public Awareness Chair for the Camino Real Region during this biennium and became the President of SISCV in October 2009. Donna will continue as President for the next term. |

Sandy
Naba-President Elect
Sandi has quite an impressive resume in the field of education. Sandi’s first degree came from City University of New York, Brooklyn College where she graduated “cum laude” with a double major in Education and Psychology. Sandi’s Masters Degree in Educational Administration came from CSU Northridge. She has taught in the classroom primarily in special education and has been in special education administration for the last several years. Sandi’s affiliations and honors are numerous including Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, National Association of Professional Women, American Association of University Women; VIP Member in Cambridge Who’s Who, among others. Sandi and husband, Daniel, have two children and two grandchildren. Sandi joined SISCV in July 2007 and has served as Membership Chair, Vice-President, Co-Chairperson for Bras for a Cause 2009 and currently serves as the President-Elect for the club. |

Kathy
Rutherford-Vice President: Means
Kathy received a BA degree from Loyola Marymount in Communications and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of LaVerne College of Law. She currently works for House Counsel at Travelers Property Casualty Company of America. Starting at a young age, Kathy has been actively involved in many philanthropic organizations. Currently, she sits on the board of several charities and is very active in her church. In June, she is going to Nicaragua to participate in a program that moves families out of city dumps to rural farmland, and teaches them independent living skills. Since joining SI Santa Clarita Valley a year ago, Kathy has acted as liaison for the Domestic Violence Center, worked on the Bras for a Cause committee, served as publicity chair and most recently, was elected Vice President of Means (fundraising), and will chair the 2010 Bras for a Cause event. Kathy has one daughter, Kristin, and four cats.

Sharyn
Buncick-Vice President: Ways
Sharyn is a native Californian and has lived in Los Angeles area all her life. She has worked for Valencia Acura for thirteen years alongside Don & Cheri Fleming. “I love Santa Clarita Valley because it is such a beautiful community with great people. I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.” Sharyn has been a member of SI Santa Clarita Valley for ten years. In 2002 Sharyn attended the SI Convention held in Sydney, Australia and in 2007 she attended the SI convention in Glasgow, Scotland. Sharyn believes strongly that Soroptimist International is making a difference for women and girls around the world. Sharyn met her wonderful person, Nick as a result of being in Soroptimist. He is the love of her life and has been happily married for eight years. A darling little Bijon named Angel is also high on the list of things that Sharyn loves.

Janet
Hudson-Treasurer
A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Janet received her B.A. magna cum laude from Yale University, and her J.D. from Stanford University Law School. Janet joined the United States Justice Department as a Trial Attorney through the Attorney General’s Honors Program. After a year Janet moved to Los Angeles to join the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California. As an Assistant US Attorney, Ms. Hudson has prosecuted defendants for a wide variety of federal crimes, including narcotics trafficking, money laundering, bank robbery, illegal alien smuggling, counterfeiting, identity theft, and health care fraud, and has served as the Chief of the asset forfeiture section. She is currently assigned to the counter-terrorism section of the office.
Janet received the John Marshall Award for excellence in asset forfeiture from Attorney General Janet Reno in 2000. Jane lives with her son Zachary, 16, and daughter Rachel, 15. She became a member of Soroptimist International of Santa Clarita Valley in September 2006.

Cindy
Diaz-Treasurer Elect
Cyndi is employed by a software development consulting firm here in the Santa Clarita Valley as a developer/manager. She has been employed with the firm for 6 years. She married her husband Dan in 1987 and moved to the SCV in 1990. She has 2 sons, Devin 19 and Dylan 15. Her family is quite musically talented with her husband being a professional guitar player and singer, her oldest son playing bass and sang with The Madrigrals at Canyon High School, her youngest is a drummer and in the Canyon High School Gold Brigade marching band, and Cyndi performed with Up With People in her younger days and still plays guitar. Cyndi joined Soroptimist International of Santa Clarita Valley in May 2008.

Pamela
Jaffke-Recording Secretary
A native of Connecticut, Pam received her B.A. from Colby College in Maine. After graduation she moved to southern California and taught junior high school for six years while completing a Masters degree in secondary education, before having her two sons. After seven years as a stay-at-home mom she went back to school to study interior design at UCLA. As owner of Innovations Interior Design she specializes in creating interiors for her clients that reflect their lifestyle, their passions, and their personal taste. Pam has been a member of Soroptimist International of Santa Clarita Valley since July 2005. She is also overseeing the club’s awards program, as well as chairing the Ruby Award. Pam and her husband, Rich, live in Valencia. Their son, Brian, married last year, and their son, Adam, is engaged to be married in 2011.

Karen
Illich-Corresponding Secretary
Karen joined Soroptimist in June 1983 at the suggestion of her husband, Mirko. After about 10 years of being asked to accept the Presidency of the Club, Karen finally did as she said - it would happen when both her daughters were finished with High School – Tara graduated in 1993 and her term was 1993-94. After the ’94 Northridge earthquake, Karen suggested staging a fashion show – to lift people’s spirits and raise funds for the club. This suggestion has lead to hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years. Throughout the years, her daughters helped with the annual auctions and especially enjoyed participating in the Christmas giving to needy families. Karen has been married 38 years to her best friend, Mirko, and enjoys sharing time with her almost 3 year old granddaughter, Isabelle. When absent from meetings, Karen is most likely traveling the world to learn about new places she can send her clients from her travel agency, the Travel Center of Santa Clarita.

Wendy
Smith-Director 1 Year
Wendy moved to Santa Clarita in 1997 by way of Houston, Texas with her husband Mike to make his mark in the film industry. They have two beautiful, talented daughters, Hannah and Shayne, and four dogs. Wendy has always wanted to volunteer her time to help others. In 2008, when deciding where to focus her service efforts, Wendy found SI of Santa Clarita Valley. Soroptimist gave her the opportunity to help women and children not only in her local neighborhood, but across the world too! While she has served on many committees including Bras for a Cause and Fashion Show, this is her first year serving on the Board of Directors as Director 1 Year. Wendy also serves as Membership Chair. Wendy is the co-creator and owner of Blingitybling.com, a successful website dedicated to making lives sparkle!

Kaye
Cruger-Director
Kaye has been employed for the past seven years as a Financial Analyst at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. She and her husband Jerry were married in January 1977 and moved to Santa Clarita Valley in March of the same year. They have two beautiful daughters and five wonderful grandchildren. They also have a longhair miniature Dachshund named Lulu. Kaye has been a proud member of Soroptimist International Santa Clarita Valley for a little over four years. She is the immediate past Treasurer and is currently serving on the Board as Director Two Years. In addition to being a member of Soroptimist Kaye’s hobbies include gardening and jewelry making.

Lori
Hollister-Parliamentarian
Lori Hollister is an attorney with the Valencia law firm of HackerBraly, LLP. Born and raised in Rockford, IL, Lori graduated from Northern Illinois University. After graduation, Lori moved to Denver, where she attended University of Denver College of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctorate. Lori practiced law in Denver until she met her husband, Tom, and relocated to Pleasanton, California. During her 17 years in Pleasanton, Lori was an active member and two-term past president of Soroptimist International of Pleasanton, as well as a two-term Founder Region Fellowship Director and Conference and Convention delegate. Lori joined SI of Santa Clarita Valley in 2002. Lori enjoys being active in the community and in the Soroptimist organization where she serves as SISCV’s Parliamentarian, liaison to the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital and Regional Health Chair. Lori and Tom have two children, Kyle, a member of the United States Coast Guard, and Kaitlyn, a junior at the University of California Santa Barbara.
